Head Removal (B16A)

| The Victim - JDM Spec Gen I B16A | Remove all of the upper intake manifold bolts | Remove all of the lower intake manifold bolts | Remove the lower manifold support bracket bolts |

| Remove all associated vacuum lines and hoses - number or take a picture of their position | Intake completely removed, should look like this | Remove the header heatshield bolts | Thoroughly soak all of the exhaust manifold bolts long before trying to remove |

| Remove the lower manifold support bracket bolts | Remove all of the exhaust manifold bolts | Remove valve cover retaining nuts and remove spark plug wire cover | Remove the rest of the nuts |

| Remove the spark plug wire retaining clips (lift small tab upward) and pull gently up on plug wires with a slight rotation | Remove the timing cover bolts | Gently pry off valve cover and lift up - make sure not to lose the valve cover grommets | At this point it should look like this - remove the upper cover |

| Remove the timing belt tensioner plug | Loosen cam gear bolts | Remove remaining cover bolts and loosen the timing belt tensioner | Slide timing belt off of cam gears |
